Hey there! We’re N&K, travel buddies, detour enthusiasts, and firm believers that a good adventure starts where the itinerary ends.
We created N&K’s Detour Diary to share the little travel stories that don’t always make it to the brochures, the ones that happen when you hop off at a random bus stop, follow a quiet path, or zoom out on Google Maps and just go. If you're someone who enjoys slow walks, hidden gems, and places most people overlook, you're in the right place.
Our Story
We’re sisters with a shared love for travel and an uncanny talent for getting a little lost (in the best way possible). Most of our adventures start with a tap on Google Maps, a random bus ride, or a curious detour… and somehow, we always end up somewhere unexpectedly beautiful.

We’re not full-time travelers or luxury seekers. We roam at our own pace, quietly, curiously, and often unintentionally off-course. From charming villages to quiet lakesides, we find joy in the places most people skip.
Based in Singapore and the Philippines, we started this blog to document our spontaneous journeys and gentle misadventures, and to invite you to do the same. Because sometimes, the best travel stories begin where the guidebooks end.
